Oh my god, great game last night- I'm still hyped up, can't wait for tomorrow, even though I'm gonna be watching the first hour in the dentist's office... but, anyway. This is from Rick Carpiniello at LoHud:"No matter the situation, Mike Scioscia will pitch his four starters and not turn to John Lackey on short rest..." The whole article is here.Scioscia is sticking to his guns, whether they're down 3-0 or 2-1, but no matter what, Game 3 is a must-win for the Angels, and if the Yankees just want to shoot the fight right out of the Angels, winning Game 3 is the way to go. I don't know if it's what most people would do, but Kazmir has good number against the Yanks, and Scioscia obviously knows what he's doing out there. Carpiniello touches on a few other things, including, CC pitching Game 4, weather in NY, etc. Check it out.

The Los Angeles Angels are now down 0-2 in their ALCS against the New York Yankees, and errors have really been hurting their chances in this series.  The Angels had three errors in their 4-1 game one loss where C.C. Sabathia shut them down, and a solid start by John Lackey was wasted.  They followed [...]

Will The ALCS Go Back To NY?

Wow, not enough words in the English, Spanish, Chinese, and Portuguese dictionaries combined to describe how I feel about Girardi right now, but that's besides the point. My question to you guys is, and it's one I've been wondering since the minute Howie Kendrick crossed the plate yesterday, will the Yanks have to go back to NY for Game 6? Before the series started,...

CC Sabathia freezes Angels, Yankees take Game 1

What a day for pitching. Vicente Padilla goes seven and a third for the Dodgers, surrendering one run; the Phillies’ Pedro Martinez throws seven shutout innings on two hits; CC Sabathia wows his fans at Yankee Stadium in a marvelous eight-inning performance; Angels starter John Lackey is…not good. Sadly, Lackey couldn’t treat baseball fans to [...]

Jeter Gets On

Derek Jeter works the count full against John Lackey, fouls off two pitches, then singles the opposite way to give the Yankees a man on first with no one out. He’s five for 11 in the post season so far. Update: Johnny Damon breaks his bat and dumps a single down the leftfield line. [...]
