First of all, Rob Johnson didn't arrive from his flight from Houston until 11 a.m., so the decision was made to not activate him until tomorrow. Jamie Burke will do the catching. Johnson was greeted with hugs in the clubhouse when he showed up.

Phillies left fielder Raul Ibanez has gone on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left groin.
John Mayberry Jr. was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Thursday to take Ibanez's roster spot. Ibanez is batting .312 with 22 homers and 59 RBIs, ranking second in the NL in homers and RBIs.
Mayberry was 2 for 9 with a double, homer and three RBIs in his first stint...

I haven't had a chance yet to put up some quotes from the newest Mariner, Mike Carp, who played in Portland last night and was told after the game to head to San Diego in the morning. But the Mariners told him it wasn't 100 percent certain that he would be joining the team. They knew something was wrong with Erik Bedard, but hadn't decided yet to put him on the DL.
