I am sick and tired of hearing the comment on Boston radio about Manny Ramirez questioning his heart to play MLB. When any little thing happens with Manny Ramirez the talk show hosts in Boston especially Glenn Ordway and Mike Adams both of WEEI Boston feel like it is their duty to make sure the Boston Red Sox and Manny Ramirez be the top story.
Manny took the day off on the final day of a West Coast trip that ended in Seattle. I get into my car and all I hear on my 30 minute ride home is Mike Adams ripping Manny apart for taking the day off to rest his knee. Manny Ramirez made a weak attempt to catch a flyball which ended up rolling over the ball and for the last week this has been the talk of Talk radio until it came out that Manny was taking the day off on Wednesday.
Give me a break! The media in Boston continues to play favorites and really don't like Manny Ramirez because he can be a tough interview and doesn't give that many. While someone like Pedro Martinez is causing a ton of trouble in the dugout including taping himself to a post in the Boston Red Sox bench. This was actually a safety issue back then as a foul ball could have gone flying into the dugout and hit Pedro. What would talk radio been talking about if Pedro was seriously injured in that incident? I bet they would just write it off that Pedro was just having fun at the game.
