Manny Ramirez Hires Scott Boras

Add him to the Sox roster of Boras clients - Jason Varitek, Daisuke Matsuzaka, J.D. Drew, Julian Tavarez, Alex Cora, Jacoby Ellsbury... and now Manny Ramirez. This year's impending contract negotiations with Manny just got a whole lot more interesting...

:( God I hate that man.

No worries for the Sox. A non-issue really.
If Manny plays like Manny, the Sox control him at their own option through 2010.
If he doesn't, then Boras will have a hard time getting him as much as the Sox are paying him now.

I personally just think its not a good thing when an agent has that much control within a clubhouse. Boras has done the whole "give THIS client a good deal or I'll take THIS OTHER client off the negotiating table" thing before and when he represents 1/3rd of the clubhouse.. I wouldn't be surprised if he does it again.
