I’m no doctor, nurse or trainer, but I know epidurals and baseball don’t mix. I know no timetable has been set for Helton’s return. I know when you start experiencing leg pain related to back injury, you’re dealing with something serious. I know when you reach 34 — with the physical wear and tear of college football and 12 years of professional baseball — and the back gives out, there’s no turning, well, back.
