My 2008 Orioles

okay, as an die hard Oriole fan I am finding it extremely hard to get myself excited about this up and coming baseball season. I understand the need to rebuild the team, get good young players and understand that we will be losing. The fact that these trades are taking forever and our fan favorites are leaving our beloved city just rubs me the wrong way. Everyone I know claims that I am Brian Roberts' biggest fan and I have to agree, the thought of him being traded to the Cubs or anyone for that matter deeply effects me. I have to come right out and say that I have a very bad feeling about trading B-Rob. IT IS NOT A SMART DECISION. I feel that we have seriously done enough trading after the Erik trade goes through and that it is not necessary to also deal B. If we do, how much longer will that trade take? Spring training is almost here, it's down to crunch time and I don't want my Orioles making stupid trades just to get them done. I believe that we need to keep B and put him in a leadership role. He's not that old of a guy, he has at least 4 or 5 years left in him, let him stick it out and help to lead us to a 2010 championship. I don't want to finish behind Tampa Bay. This is just becoming very difficult to understand. I will stick it through however and support my team win or lose no matter what. I bleed orange and black. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. But mark my words Andy, you will regret trading B. He's gonna have a killer year.
