Toronto Releases $9M Man
If you haven't already heard, the Toronto Blue Jays have released Future Hall of Fame 1B/DH Frank Thomas (long time White Sox, short time A's & Blue Jays). Blue Jays' GM J.P. Ricciardi was quoted as saying,

Frank Thomas was released today by the Toronto Blue Jays in a decision that is being called one of "mutual consent". Big Hurt was upset by the lack of at-bats he's going to see this season and the club didn't want to pay him his $10 million if he reached 376 at bats. Is this the end of the road for Thomas?
