Jonathan Papelbon made a stopover earlier tonight to help co-host an hour-long Red Sox memorabilia segment on QVC-- and surprisingly, there's a lot of time to get to know him in between the product hawking. Full video included.

I can't figure out what the best part of this Papelbon interview with David Letterman is but it might have been the BORN FREE t-shirt he had on underneath his suit jacket.

Ball-Gate 2007
After Jonathan Papelbon struck out Seth Smith to win the 2007 World Series, Jason Varitek placed the ball in his back pocket before heading out to the mound to the waiting arms of the Red Sox closer. If you look at the above picture, you can clearly see the ball in his right pocket.
The case of the missing world series ball
Seems like someone is trying to pull a "Dougie M" here. First V-Tek said he had the ball and would give it to the team, the noble thing to do of course, but now he says he gave the ball to Papelbon, who doesn't know where the ball is, must have fallen out in the clubhouse doing the jig....

I want to congratulate the members of the Red Sox team, the players, the management, the ownership...
Schilling gives list of teams he's willing to play for next year
Nothing like getting your name out to the teams before they are even interested. My best bet is that Schilling won't be with the Sox next year, and probably in a Phillies uniform. It would make sense for him to head to the junior circuit, face weaker lineups, and be more effective
Why the Phillies Shouldn't Bid on Curt Schilling
Despite having just won his 2nd World Series ring with Boston and 3rd overall, Schilling, who will be 41 when spring training opens, is well past his prime. His fastball no longer reaches 40 mph and his stats during the regular season were less than impressive. Schilling went 9-8 with a 3.87 ERA. There are plenty of other right-handed pitchers who can match those stats.

DejaVu All Over Again; Schilling To D-backs?
Could the past repeat itself and could the 2001 World Series MVP duo of Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson be seen on the same pitching staff at Chase Field again?
