If the Yankees are, indeed, interested in Matt Holliday, they aren’t showing it.
To maintain depth, the team will pick up Sergio Mitre’s $1.25 million option for 2010.
Jerry Hairston Jr. filed for free agency today. Only Andy Pettitte remains outstanding.
