Hours after the playoff-chasing Rangers learned injured third baseman Michael Young will be out at least two weeks, and an inning after slugger Hamilton came out because of a sore lower back, rookie Elvis Andrus hit a go-ahead two-run homer that pushed Texas to a 6-4 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday night.

We know catcher Kevin Richardson and Brandon McCarthy will be added to roster tomorrow. Manager Ron Washington said the Rangers will also add some bullpen arms. That will mean 40-man moves as neither Richardson nor McCarthy are on the 40-man roster. Texas currently has 39 players on its 40-man roster.

The Rangers once again showed they can bounce back. After a bad 18-10 loss on Monday, Texas swept a doubleheader today. It appears Boston is going to win, so the Rangers will only gain a 1/2 game on them. But the Rangers really needed the two solid games they got from Dustin Nippert and Brandon McCarthy. And Josh Hamilton, Ian Kinsler, Chris Davis and Omar Vizquel were integral parts...
