The Rays announced Rhyne Hughes as the player to be named later in the deal that sent Gregg Zaun from the Orioles to the Rays. The Rays will also receive cash from the Orioles to offset some of Zaun's salary. Hughes, 25, was an 8th round selection for the Rays in the 2004 draft. After posting good numbers in Double-A this year (.252/.340.500), Hughes was promoted to Triple-A Durham.
In 54 games for the Bulls, Hughes hit .322/.371/.551 with 31 extra base hits in 221 plate appearan...
