El Gato’s 37 home runs lead the American League and already are the second-highest single-season total in Devil Ray history, behind only his own historic 2007 campaign.  In ‘07, El Gato home run #35 came on September 3; #36 and #37 came on September 5. *** In case anyone thinks I’m disappointed that the Red Sox and Rangers both won last night — I’m not.  We still control our playoff destiny, but I’m not thinking wild card yet.  We’re only 9 games back and there’s plenty of time left to catch a Yankees...
