Eli's MLB Rumors:
The Rockies and Jorge De La Rosa have agreed to a one year deal worth 2 million dollars, avoiding arbitration. De La Rosa went 10-8 with a 4.92 ERA in 130 innings for the Rockies last season. He has the potential, if he can command his pitches better, to be a solid back-end of the rotation starter. This story was approved by MLB Rumors.

Rockies Sign Street
The Rockies and Huston Street avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one year deal worth 4.5 million dollars, according to ESPN.com. Street won't be a free agent until after the 2010 season, and will likely be the Rockies closer to start the 2009 season. If Street and Corpas both have success in the late innings, it is possible the Rockies will look to trade Street for prospects.?This...

Change we can all believe in
Goodbye, red uniforms. Though more new alternates scares me. If they're black-on-black vests like the Rockies wear, I'm not going to be pleased. I guess nothing is worse than the McDonald's vests that we were wearing on Fridays.

Troy Renck over at the All Things Rockies Blog is reporting that the Mets have signed former Colorado Rockies outfielder Cory Sullivan to a one year contract.Sullivan will make a $600,000 base salary which could increase to $900,000 based on incentives. It appears that the Mets will use Sullivan in the role that Endy Chavez has filled for the past three seasons, a reserve outfielder...
Early MLB Divisional Odds
2009 World Series odds have been up since October, but Carib has the first "To win division" odds that I've seen:Nothing really jumps out at first glance. It's pretty amusing that the top four teams in the AL Central have the same odds; in my completely biased opinion the Indians are the best of the four, and there's probably value in +275. RLYW's projected standings have the Rockies...
Mets Sign Outfielder Cory Sullivan
According to Troy Renck of the Denver Post, the Mets have signed outfielder Corry Sullivan, formerly of the Colorado Rockies.
Cory Sullivan, arguably one of the best defensive center fielders in Rockies' history, has caught on with the Mets, signing a one-year, $600,000 major league deal with $300,000 in incentives. Sullivan was a career .279 hitter with the Rockies in four seasons...
