Roster move: Arias down, German up

TEAMS: Texas Rangers
PLAYERS: Esteban German, Joaquin Arias

The Rangers have purchased the contract of infielder Esteban German, the lone All-Star for Triple A Oklahoma City this season, and optioned Joaquin Arias back to the RedHawks. To make room for German on the 40-man roster, right-hander John Bannister has been designated for assignment. -- Jeff Wilson
