If they make a throwback Sabathia do they put C.C. or CC

The BearDown:
So my beloved Tribe has dealt away Sabathia to Chicago's own second city after rejecting an extension with Cleveland worth $72 million over 4 years. To those of us Cleveland fans you either feel betrayed, or by this point are so used to similar situations that you are just sad to seem him go. To those of you feeling the latter you might want to hold on a second. It looks like we may have gotten the better end of the deal.

More CC Sabathia post-trade opinions and news.
I'm Fat And So Can You
Yes, it's true, America is the fattest nation on Earth, and baseball is its enabler. Here are the top ten baseball players that give hope to the out-of-shape...
Brewers' Minor League POY Taylor Green Part of Sabathia Trade
The Brewers have traded 3B Taylor Green, who was named their Minor League Player of the Year after hitting .327, 14 HR, last season, to the Indians as part of the Sabathia trade. ESPN reported LaPorta and Bryson to be part of the trade, and now we know one more player involved.
What Sabathia Means To Me
The Brewers have a chance to start something a lot bigger than a tiny giant rent-a-player.
Phillies Shopping for a Starter
CC Sabathia must fall asleep with a smile on his face because every day he wakes up and another team has declared an interest in acquiring him. The latest to enter the Sabathia sweepstakes is the Phillies. They've also expressed an interest in Mariners lefthander Erik Bedard, who is 5-4 with a 3.79 ERA. The Phillies have some young talent they would part with for a quality starter.
Brewers Offer For Sabathia
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that the Brewers have made an offer for CC Sabathia that includes their number one prospect, Class AA outfielder Matt Laporta. There's no report on who else is in the package. With so many other teams like the Yankees, Cubs, Phillies and Dodgers openly interested, why would GM Mark Shapiro make a deal now?
Rays Whispers...
The Rays currently have the best record in baseball. The pitching is doing their job and the hitting is coming through at the right times. Maybe it is the year for the Tampa Bay Rays, they certainly have been patient enough. Rumors are spreading across the country that the Rays may break their status quo and make a trade for a big name player. CC Sabathia's name has come as one possible...
Sabathia To Brewers
The Cleveland Indians have agreed in principle to send reigning Cy Young award winner C.C. Sabathia to the Milwaukee Brewers for top prospect Matt LaPorta, pitcher Rob Bryson, pitcher Zach Jackson, and a player to be named later. The teams have agreed verbally, with the deal being contingent on paperwork and a physical.
The Brewers reportedly wanted to get Sabathia two starts...
Harang And The Sabathia Deal
As most of you probably already know C.C. Sabathia is has been traded to the Brewers for Matt LaPorta "Zach Jackson, Rob Bryson, and maybe Taylor Green." Green is rumored to be a PTBNL.
This just raises the question if half a season of a guy who isn't likely to resign in Milwaukee is worth a player like LaPorta how much could Aaron Harang be worth?

Phillies Still Shopping for a Starter
As discussed last week, the Phillies thought they had a shot at CC Sabathia and now that that isn't happening, they are looking elsewhere. With the Cubs grabbing Rich Harden almost on top of the Sabathia deal, that leaves the Phillies considering Mariners LH Erik Bedard and Toronto RH AJ Burnett.
Trade Burnett Now!
If JP Ricciardi has half a brain in his head, he's spent the last 48 hours of so with a phone pressed to each ear, working the phones to find a home for AJ Burnett.
Yes, that is a BIG IF, but a guy can hope, can't he?
The last two days have seen big name, big [...]
Restaurants Across Milwaukee Rejoice
Prince Fielder now has an eating partner after the Brewers spun a deal yesterday for pitcher C.C. Sabathia. The 6'7" 290 pound hurler will form a 1-2 combination with ace Ben Sheets at the top of the rotation in an attempt to get Milwaukee into the playoffs for the first time since 1982.
Sabathia is 6-8 with a 3.83 ERA this season but has rebounded from an awful start...
2009 Spring Training Begins…
Cleveland 2 Detroit 9 (Box)
Jeremy Sowers served up at least four pitches over the heart of the plate, and two of them went for homers as the Tribe got pounded by the Tigers. Literally taking Sabathia's place in the rotation, Sowers made way too many mistakes in the strike zone. He simply doesn't have the velocity to make those types of errors. If you are looking for a...
Some thoughts on post-CC Game 1
First let's start with CC.
Five was his big number tonight - 5 hits, 5 walks, 5 Ks and, according STO, 5 standing O's from the Milwaukee faithful. Despite the ten base runners over 6 innings, the big man gave up only two runs and as I write this it appears he will get his first NL win tonight.
Let me just wish the Brewers fans good luck with CC. I've always like...
CC's gone; Is Peralta next bait on the hook?
Let me start by saying I understand perfectly well that the Tribe had to trade CC Sabathia.
The season was over almost before it started, though most of us didn't realize it until two or three weeks ago. So, with the Tribe unable to get his double-C on a dotted line, the big man had to go.
Even though there was plenty of advanced notice, just the concept of CC in someone...
