With starting center fielder Dewayne Wise out for the next 6-8 weeks, the White Sox are turning back the clock by signing old friend Scott Podsednik to a minor league deal.ESPN.com:Scott Podsednik rejoined the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday, agreeing to a minor league contract one day after center fielder Dewayne Wise separated a shoulder.Podsednik played for Chicago from 2005-07 and hit .253 for the Colorado Rockies last year. He became a free agent after the season, agreed to a minor league contract with the Rockies and then was released April 1.The White Sox (namely Ozzie Guillen) don't seem to have much faith in Brian Anderson or Jerry Owens as a starting outfielder, so it would not surprise me to see Podsednik eventually get lots of playing time. With Dewayne Wise now on the disabled list thanks to a trial separation between his arm and torso the White Sox have been forced to call up Jerry Owens from Charlotte to fill his spot on the roster. Though Owens will be on the bench this afternoon as Brian Anderson gets the start in centerfield.Still, it seems the prospect of having Jerry Owens on the roster really hit home with Kenny Williams
