Las Vegas 14 Portland 1Adrian Martin had a nice return to Las Vegas after opening the season with the club before getting demoted to double-A. The right-hander allowed one run in 6.2 innings of work, while allowing three hits and no walks. He struck out four batters. Bill Murphy worked the final 2.1 innings and did not allow a run. Offensively, Travis Snider had a big night and looks to be getting back into the swing of things. The outfielder went 4-for-6 with four doubles and five RBI. Angel Sanchez went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. Randy 'Batters Box Fav' Ruiz had three hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. At end of day, no Halladay
Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi was still recovering from the 300 text messages, 150 e-mails, countless telephone calls, and erroneous media reports, but he was most disappointed that one of the 10 teams that showed interest in Roy Halladay didn’t meet his demands.
An Open Letter To Double E (Edwin Encarnacion)
First off let me say that I have been one of your harshest critics. All of that came from a place of endearment.
You see, I really do like you Edwin. I have become so use to you that I feel like you are 30 or 31. I ask you to forgive me for any hurtful words I may have shot your way.
It seems that everyone let you go without any fanfare or props whatsoever. How all too quickly...

AP Source: Reds get 3B Rolen from Blue Jays
The Cincinnati Reds have reached a deal to get third baseman Scott Rolen from the Toronto Blue Jays.
Crazy Roy Halladay Trade ProposalJust tossing this out there but if I were the Red Sox GM for today - this is a package I'd offer to Toronto for Roy Halladay. I would offer Clay Buchholtz (everyone has him in a package), Manny Delcarmen or Justin Masterson (JP Riccardi gets to pick one), a lower level prospect and Jonathan Papelbon.Yup - Jonathan Papelbon. That would be the package...
Roy Halladay to the Rangers? Interesting, But I Doubt It
It's been very quiet on the Roy Halladay trading front for a while, but one team still has interest—the Texas Rangers.
Rangers president Nolan Ryan has not been quiet about their interest in Halladay. He has recently been quoted saying, "We are still actively seeking Roy Halladay."
Wouldn't a trade to the Rangers be interesting?
A team that has come out of nowhere, has very little...
