Clemens says McNamee injected him with lidocaine and B-12. Lidocaine is a topical or injectable anesthetic with only a 1.5- to 2-hour half life, typically used in dental procedures. It is totally worthless for chronic joint pain relief, and it's too numbing to use during a game.

Brian McNamee's attorney is threatening to sue Clemens if he indicates that McNamee is lying during his 60 Minutes interview on Sunday. Why Brian's suit, unlike Clemens', would actually work.

'MopUpDuty' and I have been debating whether or not Yu Darvish's team, the Nippon Ham Fighters, can actually make him available to major league teams since the 21-year-old only played for three seasons. CBS News released some of the conversation former New York Yankee pitcher Roger Clemens had with Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes (airing this Sunday). Clemens continued to deny he used any banned substances and says that his former trainer, Brian McNamee, injected the 7 time Cy Young winner with lidocaine (a painkiller) and the vitamin B-12 - both legal...

Roger Clemens upcoming interview with Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes this Sunday could spur a lawsuit by his former trainer, Brian McNamee.
McNamee is threatening a suit of Clemens if the former Cy Younger out-n-out denies that McNamee shot him up with performance-enhancing drugs and defames the trainer for his statements in the Mitchell Report.

Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, and former trainer Brian McNamee were asked Friday by Congress if they would testify in front of a congressional committee to find out more information about the Mitchell Report. Kirk Radomski and Chuck Knoblauch were also invited. The hearing will be held January 16th.
Clemens says he was injected with "Lidocaine and B-12"
Roger Clemens still 'swears' that he did not take steriods or human growth hormones. In a 60 Minutes interview, he tells Mike Wallace that his former trainer Brian McNamee injected him with "Lidocaine and B-12", but not any kind of steriods. Clemens says, "Lidocaine and B-12. It's for my joints, and B-12 I still take today."
