Bugs & Cranks:
Today, we pay tribute to the Red Sox phenomenon know as Sullivan Tire commercials. A few years ago, Terry Francona was the star of these low-budget, terribly edited, thick Boston accent-filled, so bad they’re good commercials. Now, the primary victim seems to be Dustin Pedroia. Either Paul Sullivan has incriminating pictures of the MVP or he got Petey to sign a 10-year contract when he was batting .200 that first month of ‘07. “I don’t know, this could be the only endorsement deal I ever get… I’d better sign. I mean, $1500 is a lot of money!”
To Sox fans, these commercials are nothing new, and in fact you may be incredibly sick of them. But if you’re not being assaulted...
