The irish jigging isn't over yet this year for Jonathan Papelbon- he kicked off a round of TV appearances today on Late Night With David Letterman... and he entered the studio doing an Irish jig. Full video of his appearance included.

Jonathan Papelbon made a stopover earlier tonight to help co-host an hour-long Red Sox memorabilia segment on QVC-- and surprisingly, there's a lot of time to get to know him in between the product hawking. Full video included.

When we featured Jonathan Papelbon back as our No. 11 player in the MLN FAB50 Baseball rankings in 2005, we knew that he was going to be big. Who else did we feature that year that is a rising star? Who were we looking at in 2006? In 2007? You'll see some familiar faces, and some that are coming to a ballpark near you soon.

The trophy and Boston bliss.

Last night was amazing - and I'm still not sure how to put it into words.

As baseball fans, we never want the season to end. We want baseball all the time. And if our team's season comes to an end, we want it to be after they've won the World Series Championship. For the fans of Red Sox Nation (myself included), that's what happened this year. I want to congratulate the members of the Red Sox team, the players, the management, the ownership...

Nothing like getting your name out to the teams before they are even interested. My best bet is that Schilling won't be with the Sox next year, and probably in a Phillies uniform. It would make sense for him to head to the junior circuit, face weaker lineups, and be more effective
