Hector Mayora
Rank: #16 Pitcher (TD)
Age: 19
Position(s): SP, RP
'08 Team(s): DSL Cubs
Acquired: Signed as a Non-Drafted Free Agent
'08 Key Composite Stats: 4-2, 1.52 ERA, 3.33 K/W ratio, 1 HR allowed
Breakdown: The Mayor (easiest nickname to come up with, ever) started 11 of the 13 games he pitched in, compiling 53 1/3 innings, or just over 4 innings per outing. His ERA was 4th best in the organization at 1.52, his only top ten statistical category. He wasn't afraid to to go after hitters, as he gave up nearly a hit per inning, leading to a 1.22 WHIP. Mayora was one of only 5 pitchers in the Cubs organization to throw more than 50 innings and give up 1 HR or less. The best thing about the Mayor is that he won't celebrate his 20th birthday until June.Want to comment? Soriano Gets Called Out By Some WWE Jobroni
I love the Cubs and it pains me to say it, but this video of some WWE guy ripping Soriano is pretty good. I can’t figure out if Soriano is more like a deer in headlights, or if he just doesn’t understand what’s being said.
