Though the World Baseball Classic was underway, I chose to watch the Chicago Cubs spring training game. Any player of any significance was playing in the World Baseball Classic. Projecting the 2009 Cubs: the final one
For these team projections I've used the playing time projections that we put together. The statistics for the hitters are from the 2009 Shawon's, which are based on the following projections: Marcel, Chone, PECOTA, and ZiPS. The pitching stats (FIP) are the average of those same 4 projection systems. The defense for most of the players was a 3-year weighted UZR average...
