Welcome everyone to the Brewer Nation blog here on MyTeamRivals.com. I am Adam "Big" Rygg and I do indeed write the Brewer Nation blog over at http://www.thebrewernation.com as well.

I was approached to ply my trade here as well, though, and I accepted! I mean, why not have even more opportunities to write about the Milwaukee Brewers?

But, before I start writing my thoughts, feelings and whatnot, how about a little introduction for those of you that have not yet heard of me or the Brewer Nation?

(Yeah...I thought it was a good idea too...)

I am an Information Analyst by day, a father to a beautiful baby girl and a husband to a beautiful wife at night, but I am a Milwaukee Brewer fan 24/7!

I live in Milwaukee, WIsconsin though I have not always. I was born in Texas, believe it or not, but have been raised almost fully in Wisconsin. I have been a Brewer fan for my entire life despite my mother being from a suburb of Chicago (she was a White Sox fan growing up...don't worry folks!). My mother introduced me to baseball and it has been my longest relationship.

I am a season-ticket holder and make it to my fair share of games in a given season. I watch all of them (on DVR or MLB.tv archive if not live, though seldomly not live) and analyze them like any true fan should.

I could talk about the Brewers for hours (and usually do) and have a unique sense of the game. I consider myself to be a very knowledgable fan, both about the team, but also (and possibly more importantly for a good blog) about the game of baseball itself.

With that, I leave you to ask any other questions if you want to know more about me. I will now go back to hoping Rickie Weeks completes the cycle tonight so that another piece of Brewers lore can be added to my memory banks.

I will post again here soon. You can count on it.

Go (if they hold on tonight the NL Central leading) Brewers!

Walk This Way

The Arizona Diamondbacks may have found a way to win without hitting.  They walk..and walk…and walk.  We can complain about the lack of hitting all we want and trust me, I do my fair share.  However this team has been showing a propensity to walk, alot. Last night against the Milwaukee Brewers was no different.  After [...]

Is This The Real Rickie Weeks or a Product of The Era?

One of the most popular targets for criticism by Brewer fans over the last few years has been Rickie Weeks. Whether it was in the field or at the plate, it seemed Rickie could do nothing right in the eyes of the fans. This season has seen Weeks not only improve in the field but perform at the plate better than at any point in his career. As happy as everyone is for Weeks'...
