In Game Four of the 1969 World Series, the Mets were leading the Baltimore Orioles 1-0. Our ace, Tom Seaver, had been brilliant all day, but late in the afternoon, with long autumn shadows gathering on the grass at Shea Stadium, trouble was brewing.
