Perhaps one should look at the fact that his team is miserable, he's the only one on the team that drives in runs and thus it's far from surprising that he is left stranded on base a lot.

But with an increase in ROB for three years in a row? It's true that his team is poor, but such a fast rise puts him near the worst ROB players in the MLB. Take into account his declining doubles rate (like a Frank Thomas), and one can see a trend in declining speed.
