Dude, You're Horrible
I know, I know, the Cubs are winning, so I should just shut my mouth and fall in line. But all year I've sat here and listened to the other Bartenders defend Milton Bradley until they're Cubby Blue in the face."He'll come around don't worry.""His job is to get on base. Look at his OBP!""He can really work a count.""Why doesn'...

Cubs 4-2 Reds: Ladies And Gentlemen, Your 2009 NLROY
Randy Wells, simply put, is a ******* meast. Wells tossed 7.1 innings, scattering 6 hits, and allowing just 1 ER and 2 BB, while K’ing 5. He was, as he has been for all but 3 of his 12 starts, very sharp, as was the Cub defense behind him.
The offense looked primed to have another explosion, plating 3 runs in the top of the 2nd via a long Mike Fontenot HR (which pencil...

Deep trouble for Gregg
Is it time for the Cubs to bring former All-Star closer B.J. Ryan up from the minors? No, not to take Kevin Gregg's job. At least not yet -- despite Gregg's two-pitch, two-homer blown save and loss Sunday against his former team. And despite that blown save against the Marlins the night before, too, when Gregg melted down to blow a three-run lead after striking out the first...

CUBS IN BRIEF: Lou raises remote chance of Zambrano as a reliever
MIAMI -- The positive news the Cubs received Sunday on the two key players who left Saturday's game with minor injuries could pay quick dividends this week in Cincinnati, including the intriguing -- if remote -- possibility that Carlos Zambrano could pitch out of the bullpen for the first time in seven years.

Plenty of Post Trade Deadline Players Available for the Chicago Cubs
The trade deadline has come on and gone, but that doesn't mean the Chicago Cubs can't make a move. The process is much more difficult, but plenty quality players have been acquired after the July 31 trade deadline.
In August of 1998, the Cubs signed Gary Gaetti after he was released by the Cardinals. Gaetti would hit .320 down the stretch with 8 home runs...
