  My favorite Rickey moment wasn't from one of his kooky stories, but from a play he made. Rickey was with the Yankees, and we were sitting in the loge section on the 3rd base side at Yankee Stadium. He was playing left field. There was a runner at 2nd base, and 2 outs. A ball was hit down the line into the corner. From our seats in the loge section , there was an overhang and you couldn't see all the way into the left field corner. I saw Rickey run after it and disappear. So I turned to look at the runner getting ready to slide into home , and from out of nowhere the ball appeared and hit the catcher's mitt without touching the ground!! OUT!!! End of inning!! Holy crap!! The roar of the crowd was unbelievable. The loge section was bouncing up and down!! Amazing!!
