Corey Brock is reporting that the Padres have decided to take $100,000 from the Yankees for RHP Chad Gaudin. The Padres could have taken a player to be named later but that would have had to happen by Sept. 1, so they went with the cash instead.Hm no player lost, just money. No harm. Yanks get a guy to fill in the back of the rotation. Good deal.
