Leatherman Making The News

Dan Leatherman is starting to make his rounds with his regional media marketplace. The Frederick News-Post just published an article with the subheading, Getting released couldn't have turned out better for Leatherman. Don't flip out yet…he was not released by the Nationals. The release is in reference to the move that the Minnesota Twins made this off-season when they...

The Best Catcher Not In MLB

Harkening back to the last incarnation of the WBC in 2006, there was one player who really caught my attention. This was Cuban catcher Ariel Pestano, mostly for his antics rather than his actual playing skill (though that is not to say he is not a highly skilled player). When I learned that at the age of 34, he will be retiring after this season, I knew I had to catch him at the...

Rotation Looks Good

With so many positions, or players for that matter in question for next season, there is one thing that we already know about -- the starting rotation. Not only do we know who the candidates are, but we know what to expect, and that would be success. Next season, with the return of Liriano, the rotation has the potential to be very good. The Twins have a lot of young guys that...
