The Angels wished CC Sabathia had stayed away—like the rain did. The ace rocked, and the Yankees took advantage of three Halos errors to take Game 1 of the ALCS. Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter and Hideki Matsui each drove in runs.
Yeah, the Angels made some mistakes, but the Yankees won this game because CC Sabathia outpitched John Lackey.
