The Brewers came to agreement with Kevin Mench (outfielder) with a 3.4 million, one-year contract. Of all the pre-expansion teams (excluding Arizona, Florida, Colorado and Tampa Bay) the Brewers enjoyed the fewest arbitration hearings of any Major League club, with only three.
