There's an essay on ESPN.com today by Scoop Jackson about Rays Centerfielder BJ Upton, about how he's the new face of "urban" baseball. As an African-American woman who is concerned about the decrease in numbers of African-American players in MLB, I understand excactly what Scoop Jackson is talking about in this essay. But, I'm not sure if BJ Upton is The Chosen One...
