Ichiro Hitting Streak Reaches 24

Center fielder Ichiro Suzuki extended his hitting streak to a career-high 24 games, and the Mariners used an early seven-run lead to beat the Rangers, 9-5, on Thursday night in front of 20,137 at Safeco Field.

Suzuki went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and could set a new club record if he records a hit on Friday. Joey Cora hit safely in 24 straight games in 1997.

Keep an eye on Ichiro as he continues to do what he does best because If anyone can flirt with 56 it's him.
