In the wake of the euphoria over the Yankees World Series victory, the one question that seems to be on everybody's mind is this: Damon or Matsui? Derek Jeter: "It's been too long..."

Go **** yourself, Derek Jeter, and every Yankee fan who thinks that 9 years without a championship is unbearable.Go.****.Yourself.In other news, was anyone else watching the Boise State/La Tech game tonight? I'm sick, so I happened to be watching it sober and saw Boise State go for (and convert) a two point conversion after going up 8 on the TD. Who does this? One point makes it a two possession

The World Series Champion New York Yankees : Accessories To Identity Theft

Ever wonder where the city of New York obtains mountains of confetti for what used to be called ticker tape parades to honor sporting champions, astronauts or Chain Gang’s election to the Rock’n'Roll Hall Of Fame?  Me neither, but the New York Post’s Chuck Bennett and Salim Algar report Friday’s celebrations for the newly crowned [...]

Yankee Fans: Was it a satisfying World Series?

I’ve seen seven New York Yankees’ world championships in my lifetime. The 1977, 78, 96, 98, 99, 2000 and 2009 World Series. I was a little too young for the 77 and 78 teams but I do remember liking Mickey Rivers and Ron Guidry. I was born in 1970 so you do the math. Out of [...]

Yankees kick off their ninth ticker tape parade in Manhattan

Yahoo! Sports editor Steve Henson checks in with this report from the Yankees parade in Manhattan. NEW YORK – Commerce has pretty much shut down in Lower Manhattan today. 2009- Baseball Magic

Last night the New York Yankees did something that they haven't done in nearly a decade. They reversed the trend of steady decline I've seen since I first became a fan in '04, they gave many young fans their first championship, they won one for the Boss, they vanquished the demons of '04 and '01 by pummeling an old villain, and they proved to everyone that the...
