Detroit Tigers reliever Joel Zumaya is going on the 15-day disabled list, this time because of a sore right shoulder.
Ryan Perry was recalled Saturday from Triple-A Toledo to replace the oft-injured Zumaya in the bullpen. The 24-year-old right-hander traveled to Detroit to be examined by a doctor.
Zumaya is 3-3 with a 4.94 ERA and one save in 29 games.

Even though I was unable to post a game summary last night there are a few things I wanted to talk about regarding yesterday's 5-3 win.A.J. Burnett had nothing but still somehow battled his way to a quality start (hate that stat) and kept the Yankees in the game. A pitcher with less overall stuff doesn't even come close to throwing that kind of game with that lack of command...
