The Yankees continue to lose and currently they sit 9 1/2 games behind the surging Red Sox, but apparently that hasn't stopped them from having plenty of free time to shoot out some interesting quotes to the media.

  • I am sure Farnsworth isn't the only yankee that thinks the Clemens deal is unfair, he just had the balls to speak up.

The lastest Joe Torre watch has him gone if the Yankees remain in the slump and Joe Giradi coming in as the replacement
  • I feel Farnsworth position. I remember lecturing my cousin for not sitting with his team when they were losing and doing their rally caps. Its the same deal, especially since the Yankees are losing! He needs to be in the bullpen driving the other pitchers to be better by his mere presence.

  • It is the nature of New York to talk. With all the media that bombards the athletes in the NY, we always get good quotes from teams, both winning and losing.
  • 10 Games now. This Yankee team is pathetic. With Rasner and Clippard going next, the Mets will sweep. My question is, if the Mets sweep, and say, the Sox take 2/3, what does this mean for Torre and Cashman? At what point do you stop saying it's early?

Giambi: The Juice Was No Use

The Hall-of-Fame would disagree, Jason. Not to mention the rest of America.

Giambi Wants Apology, MLB Listening?

Jason Giambi came out and said that Major League Baseball needs to apologize to the American public for the current steroid problem. "Steroids and all of that was a part of history. But it was a topic that everybody wanted to avoid. Nobody wanted to talk about it," said Giambi who admitted in 2003 that he had used performance inhancers in his career. In an interesting...

Joe Girardi: New Manager of The Yankees?

Each time talk heats up about Joe Torre being fired, the name that most comes up as a replacement is Joe Girardi's. It won't happen:

Mike Lupica: No Rings, No Penalties

As the Yankees continue their downward spiral this season, I'm hearing all manner of talk as to why it's happening. Yesterday, sportswriter Mike Lupica appeared on The Michael Kay Show on 1050 ESPN Radio and was asked what he thinks is the problem:

Farnsworth Fans The Family Clause

Yankee reliever Kyle Farnsworth went on a Chicago radio station yesterday and voiced displeasure of Clemens' family clause. Today he didn't back down from those comments:

Farnsworth Not Long for Pinstripes

Finally, the first salvo across The Rocket's bow. Kyle Farnsoworth is taking on Roger Clemens and his ridiculous contract. The question is, will anyone care?

Farnsworth has a point, but ...

I guess it doesn't surprise me completely that someone on the New York Yankees has spoken out against the Roger Clemens 'family plan,' which gives him the right to come and go as he pleases between starts. It surprises me that the criticism comes from Kyle Farnsworth, who would be better served by keeping his mouth shut and getting hitters out.

Subway Showdown

The Yanks limp into Shea Stadium tonight and the rival Mets could go a long way towards burying the Bombers here in May. Will they get it done? Are the Amazin's poised to take back the city? If you'll recall, in the 1980s, no one in New York gave a hoot about the team from the Bronx. Most likely it's too early for all of this talk, but it's fun nonetheless.

Can Hicks Do this?

The Rangers and Hicks still are paying a lot of Arod's salary for the remainder of his contract. With Arod having the opportunity to buy out his contract at the conclusion of the season, wouldn't it behoove Hicks to offer up Arod a certain percentage of what they owe him so he breaks the contract? Is that legal? Any lawyers in the house?
