It’s safe to say that the month of May has not been kind to Reds pitcher Aroldis Chapman. Things began to head downhill when he was arrested for driving 93 mph with a suspended license. From there, he was hit with an $18 million lawsuit accusing him of conspiracy to detain and torture the plaintiff. And now comes news that his hotel room in Pittsburgh, where he’s staying for the Reds-Pirates series, was robbed late Tuesday night.
But that’s not the half of it. Apparently, there was an unidentified woman in the room that the perpetrators tied up.
Officers who were dispatched to the hotel at about 10:12 p.m. found a 26-year-old woman tied up and crying.
Security guards told officers that they were alerted by two guests who heard a woman screaming for help.
