Aaron Cook had a great outing last night to help his Boston Red Sox beat the White Sox 5-1. Cook gave up five hits on 97 pitches with 66 of those being strikes. He didn’t strike out anyone and did not walk a batter either. This was a solid effort by cook and the Red Sox offense helped him out. The Defense also did a great job for Cook too. The Red Sox are still 9-1/2 games back in the A.L. East and have won 2 in a row. It is going to take more than that to make up ground in that Division. The Yankees keep winning and the Red Sox are only a half game behind the Baltimore Orioles.
The Red Sox will face the White Sox again tonight and they will be trying to get their third win in a row. The team Boston loves needs it.

Even Josh Beckett showed some effort (which is rare) clapping for Youk.
Gonzalez HR spoils Youkilis' return
It was almost perfect for Boston Red Sox fans: They cheered Kevin Youkilis early in the game and enjoyed a late-inning rally by their team. A limping David Ortiz just put a bit of a damper on the nice night.
Adrian Gonzalez spoiled Youkilis' return to Fenway Park, hitting a tiebreaking three-run homer in the eighth inning of a 5-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Monday.
