PLAYERS: Adalberto Santos
The Altoona Curve took both Eastern League Player of the Week honors this week, as Adalberto Santos was named the EL Hitter of the Week, while Phil Irwin was named the EL Pitcher of the Week. Irwin pitched a gem on Thursday. In the first game of a double header he pitched a seven inning complete game shutout, giving up two hits, one walk, and striking out nine. Kristy Robinson had a live report of the start. Santos has been on fire at the plate. In the last week he has gone 12-for-24 with a double, two triples, and two homers. Santos had a walk off hit last night.
