It seems Adam LaRoche has one-upped the riveting Kansas seatbelt safety PSA he starred in over the winter by teaming up with a character named "Clicky" in a PSA on teaching safety to children, sponsored by "Don't strike out when it comes to the safety of your children," says LaRoche. If only the Nats took the same advice with their approach to Bryce Harper? Here's video: (Screencap via video) Befriend Nats Enquirer on Facebook. Follow on Twitter.

Adam LaRoche: Tim Hudson once filled my glove with human crap

Baseball players love to play pranks on one another, and word has it Washington Nationals first baseman Adam LaRoche is one of the MLB’s masters. LaRoche appeared on MLB Network’s Intentional Talk on Friday, and Kevin Millar — one of the show’s hosts — was able to gather some intel from LaRoche’s brother before the [...]

Nationals unable to catch any breaks

After a 1-0 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday May 30, the Washington Nationals had officially played through one-third of their schedule. The loss dropped them to .500, an even 27 wins and 27 losses. To say the Nationals have underperformed thus far would be an understatement. In the off-season, the Nationals were pegged as a pre-season favorite to win it...

Werth's return among 6 Nationals moves

The Washington Nationals have shaken up the roster with six moves, including the return of outfielder Jayson Werth from the 15-day disabled list and the promotion of infielder Anthony Rendon from Triple-A Syracuse. The Nationals also on Tuesday designated for assignment struggling relief pitchers Henry Rodriguez and Zach Duke and selected left-handed pitcher Ian Krol from Double...

Nationals shut down Bryce Harper for the next 10 days

Bryce Harper has already been placed on the disabled list.  However, in most cases where a team and a player expect the time on the DL to be kept to the minimum 15 days, rehab starts immediately.  That's not the case for Harper, who is battling bursitis in his left knee.  Harper will essentially do nothing for the next 10 days. Jon Cooper of says Harper is leading...

Nationals' Jayson Werth on schedule for Tuesday return

At a time when the Washington Nationals need someone to step up, Jayson Werth may be coming back at just the right time.  He is on pace to return to the 25-man roster on Tuesday.  Werth had an impressive weekend of rehab starts, and should be good to come off the disabled list this week. According to Jon Cooper of, Werth played five innings on Saturday, then he played...

Danny Espinosa goes on 15-day DL with fractured wrist

The Washington Nationals have placed 2b Danny Espinosa on the 15-day DL with a fractured wrist. Espinosa tried to play through the apparently small fracture but with a .158/.193/.272 triple-slash it was likely time to remove him from the lineup. In a corresponding move the Nats have recalled Anthony Rendon. Rendon had been getting work at 2b at Triple-A Syracuse and is likely the...

Nationals must be cautious with Stephen Strasburg

Washington Nationals right-handed starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg was recently diagnosed with a Grade 1 lat strain, not the strained oblique that the team initially indicated. While the Nationals have not ruled out Strasburg making his next start, chiropractic sports physician Dr. Ray Solano (@DrRaySolano) cautions that Washington needs to be cautious with the young pitcher...

Huge Changes In Nats Clubhouse

Yesterday on the podcast, Craig and I called for some major changes with the Washington Nationals. This morning on this site, Will wrote about the bad dream that was the beginning of the 2012 Nats season. Well, GM Mike Rizzo, like the rest of us, has finally decided enough is enough. The Nationals announced several huge roster moves today prior to opening the series against the Mets...
