Adam Wainwright May Have A Second Career Lined Up
Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports

The St. Louis Cardinals will enter the 2023 season without two icons in Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina.

Adam Wainwright elected to pitch one more year and call it a career after the season.

But the 41-year-old right-hander doesn’t appear to be going out of commission anytime soon.

In fact, he may have another career waiting for him once his playing days are over.

Recently, the two-time World Series champion and three-time All-Star was seen recording some music in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, which is well known for being an important location in music history.

Cardinals insider Rob Rains published a story about Wainwright’s time in Muscle Shoals, revealing that the veteran righty was actually in the process of making an album.

Wainwright is a man of many talents.

Pitching is obviously his top strength, but there’s so much more to the veteran ace than just baseball.

In addition to his charity work, he’s got a passion for music.

In August, when the Cardinals were on Sunday Night Baseball, ESPN played a recording of a song Wainwright had been working on.

As it turns out, Wainwright is able to carry a tune quite well while singing and playing the guitar.

This is a side of the two-time World Series champion that few are aware of, but the ace seems to be on a path to making some quality country music once he decides to call it a career.

We certainly will not have seen the last of Wainwright, even when his career comes to an end.
