Matt Adams and Shane Robinson each drove in three runs and the Cardinals once again went on a homerless scoring binge as they routed the Phillies 11-3 on Wednesday night.
It was the Cardinals' third straight win and fourth in five games since the All-Star break.
Jake Westbrook pitched seven innings and got the win improving to 7-4. He allowed one run through six and didn't walk anyone.
Adams drove in two runs in the second on a single through the right side and added another with a double in the gap in left center in the Cards' five-run fifth. He came around to score when Robinson who started because manager Mike Matheny didn't want to stall Jon Jay's hitting recovery by pitting him against a lefty cleared the bases with a triple. Phillies center fielder John Mayberry Jr. tried to make a diving catch of Robinson's sinking fly ball but missed badly and the ball got past him allowing the fleet Robinson to make it to third.
It was the Cardinals' 25th win this season without a strik...
