Giants reliever Jeremy Affeldt has once again been nominated for MLB’s annual Roberto Clemente Award.

In honor of his efforts to improve his community, the Giants are asking fans to vote for Affeldt.

When you vote, you will be automatically entered for a chance to win four tickets to a 2011 World Series game and passes to attend the Roberto Clemente Award press conference.

Affeldt was nominated last year, too, but Tim Wakefield was voted the winner.

From MLB.com:

Since 2009, Jeremy has donated time and money to the Not For Sale/Free2 Play, an organization that assists young adults who are coming out of the world of human trafficking/slavery. This season he has committed to donating $250 to the organization for each of his strikeouts and holds. Working with the professors and students at the University of San Francisco, he is helping to bring awareness to this issue.

Jeremy also actively helps teens in the Bay Area. His organization, The Jeremy Affeldt Foundation, focuses on youth ministry encouraging them to passionately pursue their dreams. He is the Giants representative for the Jefferson Awards Students In Action Program, which engages high school students in volunteering efforts in their community. In addition, he serves homeless teens through the Larkin Street Youth Services Organization and supports Generation Alive along with the Bryan Stow Family Foundation.
