The Victory Formation:
The Dominican Republic won an exciting and emotional game over the United States in the World Baseball Classic, but it wasn’t without controversy from home plate umpire Angel Hernandez. Eric Aybar was up with one man on with the scored tied at 1. With the count at 1-1, closer Craig Kimbrel threw it waaaaay outside. Your browser does not support iframes. I’m just not sure why he didn’t comeback with the same pitch to strike him out. Aybar ended up ripping a 97 MPH fastball to plate the game-winning run. But that call was just insanely bad. Are we sure Enrico Palazzo didn’t replace Hernandez at some point?

One thing can be said about the World Baseball Classic: there isn’t a lack of drama! The US could have won the game last night and wrote their ticket to the semis. Instead Craig Kimbrel had a rare meltdown and the Dominican Republic moved on instead. It is not over for the US yet though as they get one more shot tonight to make it to the next round. Standing in their way is Puerto...
