FIXING THE ANGELS IN A FEW EASY STEPS

By Jonathan Northrop, AngelsWin.com Columnist -  OK, “easy” is an exaggeration and the type of thing a naïve armchair GM would say, but what I really mean is do-able. It is my belief that the team isn’t that far from being a contending 90+ win team in 2014, and for a few years to come. Given the utter disappointment that is 2013, it is easy to think that the team needs...

Brewers hope bats awaken versus Angels Saturday

The Los Angeles Angels kept their scoreless innings streak going Friday night, and Jerome Williams is hoping he can add to it while building up his own little modest stretch. Williams sets out to end a winless spell of nearly three months Saturday night when the Angels continue their series with the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park. Angels pitchers have put up 22 consecutive zeroes...

Angels Classic Rewind | Dateline: August 30th, 2002

By Joe Haakenson, AngelsWin.com Contributor -  AUG. 30, 2002 GAME 134 - ORIOLES AT ANGELS ANAHEIM -- Mickey Callaway could walk through the concourse at Edison Field and it's doubtful anyone would give him a second look. Even wearing an Angels uniform and standing on the pitcher's mound, he doesn't strike fear into opposing hitters. What Callaway does do, though...

Kyle Lohse looks to improve record against Angles

The Los Angeles Angels' last loss in Milwaukee came more than 16 years ago. Giving the ball to C.J. Wilson may just keep it that way. Unbeaten for nearly two months, Wilson looks to help the Angels beat the Brewers for an eighth straight meeting as the visitor Sunday. Los Angeles (62-72) hasn't lost in Milwaukee since May 11, 1997, when the Brewers were a member of the AL...

MLB Daily Leagues – Lineup Picks for August 30, 2013   P – Jered Weaver (LAA): Weaver is a very solid and affordable option against the Milwaukee Brewers. Angels find late success against Brewers in 5-3 win.

The Angels have capped off a marvelous road trip with a sweep of the Brewers, a swept that wouldn't have happened had it not been for one J.B Shuck and an expertly placed first base bag. C.J Wilson wasn't all too bad in his start, though he wasn't anything spectacular as he was able to barely make 6 innings while giving up 3 runs (2 earned). In a shocking turn of events...

It is tough to be an Angels fan right now. Reasons? Take your pick! How about a payroll that Scrooge McDuck’s money bin would be hard pressed to keep up with? Maybe you prefer the acute and nagging injuries peppering the roster? Perhaps you prefer to observe the long term contracts to aging players and ticking clocks on your favorite young bucks? Or maybe you’re just a SoCal...
