Veteran infielder Jorge Cantu has agreed to a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Angels.
Cantu also got an invitation to spring training in the deal announced Friday with the Angels, who also signed outfielder Doug Deeds to a minor league deal.
Cantu batted .194 with three homers and 16 RBIs in 57 games last season while playing first base and third base for the San Diego Padres, who waived him June 21.
