The Pirates offense is not what it used to be. This is a fact.-Things started off horribly (as they usually have this year) for Ian Snell--he gave up two runs and threw about 678 pitches in a miserable first inning. He settled down after that, though, and got through 6 allowing just one more run for the Pirates'4th quality start in a row (Duke, Karstens, Maholm). That has to be a record, at least for this year.-Snell's biggest problem was inability to get Jimmy Rollins out. He went 4/4 with two triples, both leading off an inning (and leading to a virtually inevitable run). Other than that, he was actually very good. It's just so depressing to see him struggle so mightily in the first inning and dig the Bucs an early hole.-Tonight, the Pirates were not able to climb out of that early hole. They mustered just one run off Brett Myers (Eye Chart single, Nate double) and picked up one in the ninth as well. Final score: 5-2.-It's no secret as to why this problem is hitti...
