The only one who doesn't find the Jose Altuve lineup odyssey all that interesting, it seems, is Jose Altuve. The Houston Astros second baseman has hit second, he's hit eighth, he made a quick jaunt up to the No. 6 spot in one unusual lineup, and he was back to second for his 4-for-5 effort Wednesday. Through all the inconsistency there, Altuve has been one of the most consistent hitters in the National League. His .377 average ranks second in the National League, and he has 10 multi-hit games in 17 starts. He boasts a .429 on-base percentage and a .551 slugging percentage, showing that his minor league video game numbers weren't all that far from what seems to be the truth. "It doesn't matter where I'm hitting, second, sixth, eighth," said Altuve, who is still just 21 and stands 5-foot-5 or 5-6. "I just want to see my name in the lineup."
