Jason Lane, Arizona—“My arm is somewhat fresh, and I’ve taken care of it,” said the first baseman-outfielder, trying to return to the majors as a pitcher with the Diamondbacks. “I don’t have the wear and tear like a 35-year-old pitcher would have.” Lane was an outfielder at Southern Maryland (Waldorf) in the Atlantic League as recently as two summers ago.
