Indians Baseball Insider:
Around the Farm takes a quick look at some of yesterday’s performances by Indians prospects throughout the system. The positions listed below are where the player was playing in yesterday’s game.
Jose Ramirez (2B, Akron) 2-4, RBI: One of the fasest rising and most intriguing prospects currently in the Indians farm system is Jose Ramirez. After coming off a stellar season last year, he picked up right where he left off during spring training and didn't look back. In his first start in AA, he disappoint, going 2-4 and driving in one. Even though it's one game, it's encouraging to see that early on, the big jump isn't affecting Ramirez.
Nick Hagadone (RP, Columbus) IP, BB, 3 K: One of the more surprising moves was when prior to Opening Day, the Tribe brass elected to demote Hagadone. Yes, Kazmir suffered an injury and moves needed to be made accordingly, but I was still a little surprised. The bullpen could use another guy to rely on in the next couple of days, especial...

Everybody Makes Mistakes
Young right-hander Zach McAllister went out and made some mistakes, but overall had a quality start stats-wise as he was only charged with two runs in six innings of work despite giving up four. However, the two unearned runs he gave up due to a fielding error at third base by Mike Aviles is not a new problem for McAllister as he struggled with pitching around...

It has never happened, but it might this year – the Cleveland Indians could face the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series. Other match-ups are more likely — Nationals vs. Tigers, for instance — but Ohio’s teams may be on a collision course. It is less of a long shot than you might think.
On paper, the Reds are one of the best teams in baseball. They won 97 games last year...
